settlementClass action settlement: Faulty MagSafe laptop power adapters from AppleA recent class action lawsuit filed against Apple claims that it produced faulty MagSafe notebook power adapters. If you purchased a qualified Apple-branded MagSafe 60-watt or 85-watt MPM-1 adapter (some came with a MacBook or MacBook Pro) and bought a replacement adapter within three years of initial purchase of your computer or original adapter, you may be entitled to receive benefits. Depending on the amount of time between the two purchases, you may get the amount paid for your replacement, $50, or $35. The last day to file a claim is March 21, 2012. Posted November 10, 2011 |
