$299Google announces Nexus Q Streaming Media Player
Today, Google announced its new Google Nexus Q Streaming Media Player (pictured) for $299 plus $17.99 for shipping. Billed as a "social" media device, the Nexus Q works in conjunction with Nexus 7 tablets and other Android based devices to stream both music and video from Google Play and YouTube to your TV and/or home theater system. It touts an OMAP 4460 processor, 16GB storage, 1GB RAM, dual-band Wifi, Ethernet, and both Bluetooth and NFC support. It's scheduled to ship in "two to three weeks".
Of note, Google also unveiled its Triad Bookshelf Speakers for $399 plus $29.99 for shipping. Each unit features a 1" dome tweeter, 6-1/2" woofer, 75Hz to 20kHz frequency response, and more. It's scheduled to ship in "two to three weeks"
