AT&T Wi-FiStarbucks drops T-Mobile, offers free-ish AT&T Wi-FiThis week, Starbucks announced that it will be no longer offering wireless access via T-Mobile hotspots. Instead, it has a new agreement with AT&T to offer customers two hours per day of Wi-Fi for free when you use a Starbucks purchase card. Beyond that, it will cost $3.99 per additional two-hour session, or $19.99 per month for unlimited access. Plus, as we mentioned about three weeks ago, AT&T broadband customers will receive free unlimited Wi-Fi access already. Not to worry, though, for current T-Mobile users. An agreement allows them to be able to use the AT&T network as well at no additional charge. See Google News for more information. Posted February 12, 2008 |
